The Key Flag - finnish know-how
A clean environment, state of the art technology, top design, quality and safety – the word Finnish has a lot of positive connotations. The Key Flag, a symbol of Finnish know-how, indeed conveys more than a thousand words. A customer who sees the Key Flag immediately knows that the product or service in question is made in Finland.
How to obtain The Key Flag
Issued by the Association for Finnish Work, the Key Flag is a registered collective trade mark that proves a product or service is Finnish-made. The right to use the Key Flag symbol is issued upon application to the origin mark committee of the Association for Finnish Work. The Key Flag may be used for brand marketing and corporate profiling, with some reservations. The right to use the Key Flag is issued for a maximum period of three years at a time.
Key Flag products and services must be produced in Finland. Furthermore, at least 50 percent of their production must be of Finnish origin, in terms of cost value. When issuing the Key Flag, all costs accumulated up to the shipping of a product at the factory gate are observed.
The use of the Key Flag is regulated by the Association for Finnish Work, that has been promoting Finnish know-how already for over 95 years.
The Key Flag is a trusted symbol
The Key Flag is a valued origin mark among consumers. More than 90 percent of Finns are familiar with the Key Flag and its purpose. Products or services marked with the Key Flag convey a reliable message of Finnish origin, as well as of safety and high quality. The Key Flag also tells about the values of the product or service producer.
